Clearwater Swim Club

Overview: This concrete block building, built in the 1950s, was in poor condition and in need of an update. When the club’s board members decided to undertake the update, they agreed it was time to renovate the entire structure, including the bathrooms, adjacent storage shed and pump room.
Challenge: The major change would involve the redesign of the roof which would now incorporate an expanded fully framed hip roof that would incorporate an open colonnade covered area facing the pool to provide rain protection during inclement weather.
Solution: In addition to the roof and colonnade area, we totally rearranged the bathrooms and provided each with full handicap access and a family bath area. The construction began in September on the last day of the pool season and was completed for the following season opener on Memorial Day.
