Madison Modest Restored and Refurbished

Overview: This spec house built in the 60s was in need of a facelift that would give the home a classic feel.
Challenge: Zoning requirements prevented us from increasing the footprint, requiring us to maximize existing space.
Solution: As a result of restricted space, we reconstructed the original attached garage and added a new bedroom above it. We also restructured the roof with a staiper pitch and added attic dormers. A front porch addition provided curb appeal and a new front door, fully operating hinged shutters at each window and a complementary metal roof made the home feel more inviting. Clapboard shingles and retrimming in addition to traditional eave extensions and brackets at the facias contributed to the overall look and appeal of the home.
